India’s Changing mindset

India is in road to become a superpower. It has made significant improvements in all  fields of life.Be it advancement in telecom or low cost software development or investment in infrastructure or increasing medal tally in Olympics. This is a new india which is  progressive young fearless .Let me reflect on some of factors which contributed to the growth of India. The factors are below:-

  • Human Resource:-Previously people in India were seen as a liability .We considered people as  one of the weakness in our growth. But now in 21st century people are considered as an asset and it has become strength.People have become  prime contributors to the growth engine of our country
  • Entrepreneurs:Previously  entrepreneurs were considered to be villain.India society is so much orthodox that it does not encourage  entrepreneurs. But now in 21st century the myth has changed where entrepreneurs are considered role models and they are socially accepted. That’s why we have seen now there is encouragement and acceptance in public space .We are also building infrastructure in terms of technical, financial, psychological and other areas. So in 60’s and 70’s we had only few entrepreneurs but know after the reforms we see companies like Flip kart Myntra.com and other companies while entrepreneurs like NR Narayan Murthy,Shiv Nadar etc.
  • English:-English language which was primarily seen as colonizers/imperial language now it is  seen as language that would create jobs.English is taught in schools and every India aspires to learn this language .This change has also created significant impact.
  •  Computerization:-Previously Indians believed that computers are one  that would kill job and also seen as  one that would be a difficulty in implementing and also made job difficult. Now computers are used extensively in all public spaces.Even the PSU banks which opposed it are now using it extensively in their daily transactions

Above mentioned points has acted as enablers in the growth of economy. There are also some other factors which Indians have  to focus upon for India becoming  growth power specially access to primary education to all, investment in infrastructure, making health care more affordable. So these factors should be considered then only India’s growth story will go on and it will be a cakewalk for India in global marketplace.
