The typical stereotypes that exist in a typical Indian Households.Indian parenting has understood the liberity and freedom that a child can choose and become.If a child tells he wants to be cricketer then typical Indian parent will tell that he should be next Sachin or Kapil.If he says actor then Indian parent will tell that he/she should become next Amitabh Bachchan or Dilip kumar .By mistake if the child has not decided on profession then give example of Grandparents even family members.I ask this question Why? Why?.Let me tell you I am not pointing finger on Indian parenting .Indian parenting is one of the best in whole world.But excess of anything is also very dangerous.Indian parents typically take extra care and very much concerned about their children.But this extra concern may create barrier between child and parents.So the stereotypes should be reduced.
