The controversial legacy comes to end


The tenure comes to end .There is change of guard of president.The quest begins for the new president of India.But before looking for new one lets look at 5 years of tenure of Presidents excellency.Did  Smt.Pratibha patil leave up to expectations?.Has she done justice to her tenure?


Well this questions should not arise but  it has come out and are headlines in media.I do not think she has done justice to her tenure or something significant that we can stand up and appalaud her.
There are some reasons which I found out

Smt Prathiba Devisingh  Patil
1.President of India is considered 1st citizen of India.President becomes brand ambassador of its country.President is source of inspiration for country .When you look into what Smt Prathiba Patil did well one never gets inspired .She want for international visits but there was no significant outcome from this visits.There was one significant outcome big controversies surrounding her.

2.During her tenure the controversial lokpal bill came.There was outrage in country in order to stop and curb corruption.Thanks to Anna hazare for leading the campaign and creating awareness among people.But during all this debate where politicans had no clue what to do,prime minister had no answer and whole judicial system had given up.Neither president expressed her views whether she was for or against lokpal bill.Nobody bothered what was her views towards lokpal bill.

3.She was also criticized for talking her family members with her for foreign visits.Well I do not say that she should not take family members.But she should understand that she is head of nation and her each move are followed by citizens.Her son was also accused of money laundering as rs 1cr was seized from his son’s house.She came for wrong reasons in news specially expensive foreign visits and his politician son

4.She was the first woman president of India.So lot of hype was created among media and lot was expected from her.Also she was succeeding Dr.A.P.J Abdul kalam who was clean and was legend .He was famous among masses and classes ,inspired people and children.So it was difficult for her to step into his shoes.Well in 5 years the significant thing what she did was fighting for rights of war widows in Rajasthan.Leaving that there was no significant achievement in her tenure

Well her legacy comes to end or should I say controversial legacy comes to end.Hope the 13th president will leave upto expectations and deliver good
