Google vs Facebook



There is ongoing debate that facebook will overtake google.Many industry experts say that facebook is next big thing.But when we look into their business model of google & facebook is completely different.

Both are blue ocean companies but their business model & way of operation is completely different.When we look into sources of revenue of facebook & google it is radically different.Google creates more enterprise value with its search engines .Google biggest invention recent times is its Android system which is biggest hit.Adding to it Google has its own operating system & also Google chrome browser is widely used by computer users.Secondly,Google has also paid form of search in some companies from which it creates huge chunk of income.Thirdly,Google’s traditional source of income is from advertising during search.

When we come into facebook scenario.Facebook only form of revenue is from advertising.Secondly,Facebook is just a social media website so it’does not create any enterprise value specifically business environment. Mark Zuckerberg is trying new methods to build enterprise value and also introducing new applications & games to get source of revenue.Mark Zuckerberg can create chat rooms which will help in discussion on any topic necessary for which he can charge to avail the service.This is called social media search with expert opinion

Race will go on but both Facebook & Google create stakeholder value and both are delivering user satisfaction
