IPL enters in 11th season and there are many reasons to get in tuned for this season.As the league is just  2 weeks away.There are many reasons for this year to watch IPL 2018.Listing out few reasons for which cricket lovers will be tuned to see IPL.



1.Return of 2 franchises:-Lot of drama and speculation is expected  as both Chennai Super kings and Rajasthan royals make their entry to the league  after 2 years of ban.Both CSK and Rajsthan royals have been ex champions of the league and have given exciting memories in past few years.It will be great to see Dhoni wearing his yellow jersey and Rajasthan’s nail bitting finishes

2.Media and Sponsorship:-As the nation most loved event enters into 11th year.The sponsorship and broadcast rights are sky rocketing and over the top.While the  league’s primary sponsor is VIVO the chinese mobile manufacturer for a whopping 2199 crore.The broadcast rights are with Star sports network  with a bid of 164.37 crore for next 5 seasons

3.Star sports network:-Star sports has paid around 164.37 crore for upcoming 5 years which is much more than the previous broadcaster Sony India.Star sports is almost created a monopoly for Indian sports being home for major Indian leagues like Pro Kabbadi,ISL Hockey india league etc.Since IPL will be hosted by Star sports I am sure that there will be real attempts by the broadcaster to make the league top notch and cricket lovers will be glued to the TV screen’s.Also digital rights are with Hotstar so Star sports will be all guns blazing in order to make the league watchable and make cricket lovers glued to the TV leagues.Also Star sports being monopoly in Indian sport Broadcasting would be doing innovative ways of campaigning just like “Mauka Mauka” campaign inorder to make league more successful.

4.Squad and Teams:-Being 11th edition almost all the players went under the hammer. There was lot of drama, action in the auction table. The Right to match option in auction table also causing lot of excitement in the table. Many squads and teams are changed and almost all the teams look even and strongly matched in paper. So it would be battle for the “Best of Best”. Previous all IPL foreign players like South Africans, New Zealand and Australians used to create impact in the league. For the first time in IPL there are lot of English players being played for 8 franchises. Players from England like Mark Wood  and Sam Billings(CSK);Chris Woakes and Moeen Ali(RCB);Jason Roy(DD);Ben Stokes and Jos Butler (Rajasthan Royals) and Chris Jordan(Sun Risers).Leaving the above English players Gautam Gambhir would be playing back for Delhi,Yuvraj is back in Punjab;Nidahas genious Dinesh Karthik would be captaining KKR, Raina and Jadega for CSK ,Ashwin for Punjab.

This 4 reasons are enough to make the league watchable and grab the eye balls as squads and teams look exciting and I feel that no match would be one sided and all the IPL matches would be nail bitters
