Risk of Resource
Resource is defined as source of
supply from which benefit is produced.But when we take organization into
consideration then resource is complete combination of both human & physical
.How do we consider that organization has grown or organization is growing.Experts
will say that Profit after loss(PAT),revenue,turnover and how many new clients
the company has made.There are many metrics like above which organization calculates
and based upon that they decide whether they are actually growing or not.But
the above metrics does not give actual picture.The reason is it might be
possible that PAT has been doubled but actually company has cut down its human
resources.Revenues have gone up but company has cut down costs .
So sometimes, statistics
does not reveal the actual picture.From statistics we can infer the possible outcomes
but it does not give the real picture.Organization always operate under risk of
human resource.This risk cannot be eliminated but the impact of risk can be
minimized.Human resources are one of most important and key to the success of
organization.If organization has right set of human capital with appropriate
set of skill and competency then it will lead to the success in the market place.For
example company like TCS where key to their client acquisition lies in their
bench strength.To know whether the company has grown metrics related to human
capital,attrition analysis etc also play a key role in the growth of
company.Balance sheets,Cash flow statements and financials does not give the
real picture.It is the intellectual capital and human resource that will make a
difference.Organization can have plenty of human resources but it should be right set of
skilled resources which matter a lot
