Mr Parker’s Entrepreneurship

Businessman always see a vision that is far far ahead in others mind.Entreprneur is a person or so to say a visionary who identifies a need and puts his  competencies a produces a product/service.Entrepreneur take a very bold step when they start a business.They do not know whether their product will be successful or blockbuster or failure.I would like to elaborate a entrepreneur who is regarded as  true American or a American story.I am talking about Mr  Parker who has brought a blockbuster product “Parker Pens”.Parker pens is a trendsetter in pen industry.The story/idea from where “Parker pen” got invented is strange as well as ironic.

Mr Parker was an ordinary clerk working in a shop selling fountain pens.Leaving this he had a inbuilt passion in exploring fountain pens.He used to help mechanics working in the department repairing fountain pens.He was very skilful and always used to work overtime and getting the job done.He used to cure defects that were present in fountain pens and learnt the art of repair technology himself.Mr Parker wondered why there could be a fountain pen with no problems.That’s were entrepreneur bird view or vision comes into the picture.So in order to solve the problem he produced some 10 fountain pens as prototypes with his own passion,hardwork and skill.In order to get taste and preference of customer he gave prototypes to different people  and walks of life.Mr Parker received feedback from design.He got information about design and understood that his product is a premium one and all the customers satisfied and there was intent to buy the product.

So he saw a opportunity and cashed in both hands were he opened a small unit for manufacturing the pen.He did not had financial power/capital so he discussed with his friends,relatives .He was able to convince his friends and family members and was able to sell his idea(pen) which inturn helped in getting loans from them.Mr Parker gave importance to quality rather than quantity.The pen was priced high and it was linked with guarantee that the pen would be replaced if there was any defective unit.This shows the confidence,attention to detail and effiency that Parker had in my mind.He never comprised on quality and efficiency which made Parker pen the market leader or so to say world leader in fountain pen industry and made Parker “The Pen that world prefers”
